The Compak Golden Bean is the largest coffee roasters competition and conference of its kind in the world. This year they received a historic 1250 actual coffee entries across the 12 award categories judged by over 100 delegates attending the event. This year’s competition was held at the Newcastle Country Club, from 11th to 14th of November and was supported by over 100 coffee roasters and enthusiasts who traveled from all over Australia and New Zealand.
The Compak Golden Bean is an avenue for baristas to learn industry trends and innovations, expand their network, and most importantly to showcase their skills and expertise in the national level.

Castaway Food Packaging has been a long-term supporter of both the coffee industry and the Golden Bean Awards. Over the past five years the event had grown and evolved into one of the most unique and well-run events in the foodservice industry, with this year being no exception.
The 3-day event culminated with a stunning James Bond “007”themed gala night where the award winners were announced.
